Sirens: Kid Caught Carrying Pills in M&M Container; Possession of Meth, Outstanding Warrant Arrest

Stolen Checkbook

• At 10:46 a.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a stolen checkbook from the 2000 block of Cooks Hill Road.

 

Stolen Wallet

• At 3:26 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a theft of a wallet from the 900 block of South Scheuber Road.

 

Gas Can Reported Stolen

• At 4:37 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a stolen gas can from the 800 block of G Street. An investigation is ongoing.

 

Police Arrest, Release Assault Suspect

• At 3:48 p.m. on Tuesday, police cited Aeon R. Bythe, 24, of Centralia, for fourth-degree assault at the 3500 block of Steelhammer Drive and released him.

 

Criminal Trespass

• At 11:35 p.m. on Tuesday, police arrested Harold R. Maxton, 77, of Centralia, at the 1200 block of Mellen Street and booked him into Lewis County Jail after he allegedly refused to leave a business.

 

Suspects Cited for Driving with Suspended Licenses

• At 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, police arrested Juan E. Mejia, 38, of Centralia, at the 1100 block of North Pearl Street and booked him into Lewis County Jail after he was caught driving with a suspended license and had an outstanding warrant.

• At 1:52 a.m. on Thursday, police cited Tom A. Reeves at the 1000 block of Ellsbury Street for driving with a suspended license and was released.

 

Possession of Meth, Outstanding Warrant Arrest

•At 11:22 p.m. on Wednesday, police arrested Michael A. Miller, 34, of Centralia, at the intersection of West Magnolia Street and North Pearl Street and booked him into Lewis County Jail for possession of methamphetamine and an outstanding warrant.

 

Hit and Runs

• At 10:32 a.m. on Thursday, a hit and run was reported at the intersection of West Pear and King street in Centralia. 

• At 5:25 p.m. on Thursday, a hit and run was reported at the intersection of Reynolds and Johnson roads. No injuries were reported. 

 

Chehalis Police Department

Kid Caught Carrying Pills in M&M Container

• At 9:13 a.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of a kid who was allegedly carrying unmarked pills in an M&M container at the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street.

 

Stolen Vehicle Recovered

• At 1:43 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue to recover a vehicle that was allegedly stolen out of Vancouver.

 

Reported Drunk Driver

• At 4:03 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report from the 600 block of Southeast Dobson Court that a man was driving drunk with children in the vehicle.

 

Man Refuses to Leave Store

• At 5:05 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report from the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue that a man in a store was yelling at the staff and refused to leave when asked.

 

Stolen Package

• At 5:26 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of a stolen package from the 2100 block of Southwest Salsbury Avenue.

 

Kids Climb On Roof, Won’t Get Down

At 2:04 p.m. on Thursday, 

police received a report at the 2000 block of Southwest Salsbury Avenue that two kids had climbed on a roof and wouldn’t get down.

 

Reported Shoplifter

At 7:17 p.m. on Thursday, a shoplifter was reported from the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Street.

 

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Assault

• At 9:18 p.m. on Thursday, police arrested Scott Raymond Gibson, 37, of Silvercreek, at the 500 block of Larson Road in Silvercreek and booked him into Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault after he allegedly slapped a woman in a dispute over significant others.

As of Friday, the Lewis County Jail has a total population of 205 inmates,  including 175 in the general population, 28 in the WERC and two on work release. Of the 175 in general population, 127 are male and 48 are female and of the 28 in WERC, 26 are male and two are female.
