Centralia Family’s Run on ‘Family Feud’ Ends With Two Wins

After winning $20,000 on “Family Feud” Friday morning, the Kline family, from Centralia, returned as the defending champions Monday morning and won another $20,000.

The Klines’ run ultimately came to an end Tuesday when they lost to the Oller family from Bloomington, Ind.

The Kline Family — which includes Connie, a nurse at Northwest Pediatric Center; her daughter Jessica, a third-grade teacher; nephew Ryan, a consultant; daughter Jody, a pediatric dietitian; and son Noah, an aspiring medical student working as a barista — lost on the question, “What would God be mad at you for doing in church?”

The Klines guessed “stealing from the collection plate” and “drinking the communion wine,” but neither answer showed up on the survey board.

“We felt good about our loss,” Connie said. “We lost on some good answers.”

All three episodes were filmed in Atlanta last summer. The family first auditioned in Puyallup 14 months ago.

“Fourteen months later we are still laughing,” Connie said. “We have $40,000 and quite a trip.”

Connie said the three episodes were filmed in six hours last summer. The family only had five minutes between taping and had to pretend it was the next day.

The families and host, comedian Steve Harvey, would change clothes between episodes.

“Steve would ask a lot of questions about our family,” Connie said. “We were dying to see how they would edit it together.”

If the Kline family won five games in a row, they would have won a new car.

After two victories, the Klines do not get a car, but will split the $40,000 winnings five ways.

The winnings will be sent three months after the episodes aired.

Reruns of the three episodes will be shown on CW 11 in May.

“Who gets on a game show and wins $40,000?” Connie said. “We are just simple people having a good time with life.”
