Floyd Lowery

Floyd Lowery passed away at home on Sunday, January 25, 2004 at the age of 84. He was born in Lafarge, WI and moved to Washington along with his four brothers and father in the late 1930's.

He married Mary Ann Rudy October 3, 1943 and spent 54 wonderful years together until she passed away in 1997. They raised their two sons Jim and Ken in the little comm-unity of Galvin, WA.

Floyd owned two small businesses. He hauled shavings to farmers and later owned and operated an asphalt business with his son Ken. He retired in 1983. Floyd loved to hunt, dig clams, listen to the Mariners ball games and dance. He was involved in the Centralia Eagles for many years and served as President of the local aerie 512 in 1966 and 1967. He also served as president of the state Eagles in 1983 and 1984.

He is survived by his sons Jim and Ken and their partners in life, Barb and Candy, and his dear friend Anita. He has 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson and many life long friends.

A celebration of life will be held at the Centralia Eagles Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004 at 1:00 p.m.
