The top two vote-getters in each race advance to the Nov. 4 general election. This is the state’s first top two primary, which allows candidates to move on to the general election regardless of their party preference.

The deadline for voters to register for the general election is Oct. 4, and Oct. 20 for those who have not previously been registered in Washington.

Registration can be done through the mail by picking up forms at any post office, city hall or library. Online registration is available through the Secretary of State’s Web site at: https://wei.secstate.wa.gov/onlinevoterregistration/Registration.aspx

Littlerock Fire Rescue Levy Lid Lift

Restoring the regular property tax levy of Thurston County Fire Protection District No. 11 (Littlerock Fire Rescue) to an amount not to exceed $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed value for collection in 2009 for maintenance, operations, equip.m.ent and personnel costs. The levy amount will be used to calculate subsequent levy limits.

Grand Mound-Rochester Fire Department Levy Lid Lift
