W.F. West swept both the singles and doubles matches in a 6-0 defeat of Aberdeen at home on Monday.
Singles
- No. 1: Claire Kuykendall (WFW) def. Victoria Judkins (A), 6-0, 6-0
- No. 2: Kaylinne Dowling (WFW) def. Kyley Ehly (A), 6-0, 6-0
- No. 3: Lillian Schmitz (WFW) def. Elizabeth Cisneros (A), 6-2, 6-1
“Lillian, at No. 3, played a good set,” W.F. West coach Jack State said. “She played well.”
Doubles
- No. 1: Tiana Jeffries/Stephanie Drummond (WFW) def. Kylie Weiberg/Madelyne Machowaek (A), 6-3, 6-2
- No 2: Hanna Feaster/Mari Ceesay (WFW) def. Kallie Knutson/Annie Trueh (A), 6-1, 6-2
- No. 3: Julia Capen/Grace Sells (WFW) def. Lillian Allen/Zoe Trueh (A), 6-4, 6-4
“Really good job our No. 3 doubles team,” State said. “They were down both sets and fought their way back.”
W.F. West improves to 3-2-1 overall and travels to Shelton on Wednesday.
