Just two weeks after announcing when Washington's first In-N-Out location would open, the company confirmed its plans to open a second location less than 20 miles to the south.
The California burger chain recently filed a development application with the city of Vancouver, but it is still in the early pre-development process.
Mike Abbate, vice president of store development at In-N-Out, said in an official statement that it is still too early to give an exact timeline for when the second location would officially open.
After construction starts, Abbate said it typically takes up to nine months to build the restaurant and open. "It would be premature to comment on a timeline for an opening date or when we will even get our development application approval," he added.
The development application was filed for a site at 13511 S.E. Third Way in Vancouver, just east of Interstate 205, around exit 28. In-N-Out's proposed restaurant would be built about 35 minutes away from Ridgefield, which will be the home to Washington's first In-N-Out location that is set to open in 2025.
Abbate previously told The News Tribune in an email through a spokesperson that the company wasn't "planning for extensive growth in Washington at this time." The spokesperson told The News Tribune in an email on April 24 that Abbate's statement remains accurate.
The Vancouver location would be In-N-Out's sixth restaurant in the Pacific Northwest and the 419th location in the country.
