The W.F. West girls golf team came away with a win over Centralia on Wednesday, as the Bearcats topped the Tigers 107-75.

All five Bearcats that made the final scorecard scored double digits. Natalie Eklund, who recently committed to Seattle Pacific University, led W.F. West with 32 points.

Grace Oien tallied 25 points, and Abby Alexander collected 20. Macee Shannon and Carlie Deskins finished in the teens, with 16 and 13, respectively.

Tess McMurry had one of her best outings of the season to lead the Tigers with 23 points, while Lily Ferch and Emily Wilkerson also impressed, tallying 18 and 16, respectively. Corin Meek also hit double-digits with 10, and Lyla Aumiller scored eight.

Centralia coach Hal Gronseth said he was pleased with how the Tigers shot in rough conditions, and he gave praise to the Bearcats for shooting even better.

“That makes them tough to beat,” Gronseth said. “We just don’t quite have the depth that they’ve got, and they played well today.”

Centralia will head north to take on Tumwater at Tumwater Valley on Monday, while W.F. West will head to the Longview Country club on Friday to face Mark Morris.
