Blazers Shut Out SPSCC

After a much stronger second half, the Centralia College women’s soccer team defeated South Puget Sound College last weekend, 4-0.

The Trailblazers scored just one goal in the first half from Kennedy Bodily in the 25th minute, but were otherwise held scoreless in the first half despite a big possession advantage. Finally, in the second half, the floodgates opened up.

Elsie Harris scored back-to-back goals to record the brace in the 61st and 65th minutes, and Allison Jenson added the last goal to help the Blazers get back in the win column.

The Blazers (6-5-1, 4-3-1 NWAC) take on Pierce College on the road Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Puyallup.
