Chehalis Community Renaissance Team Calls for Artists to Make Series of  Chehalis Postcards

Posted

Chehalis retailers with growing numbers of tourist patrons recently noticed something missing from their guests’ experiences: postcards.

The Chehalis Community Renaissance Team (CCRT) is seeking local artists to create a series of Chehalis-themed postcards. Artists will be paid $100 per design selected and postcards will include credit to the artist. Artists will be responsible for all costs associated with designing submissions.

Design proposals must be 4 inches by 6 inches and submitted digitally. Limit submissions to 10 designs. To be considered, submit designs in an email to info@experiencechehalis.com by Oct. 8. Include a name, mailing address, phone number and an outline of previous artistic experience.

Artists are asked to create artistic representations of Chehalis through personal designs, modern photographs or historic and vintage images. Designs should be true to the community. Religious or political themed postcards will not be considered.

The series will be offered to local businesses at wholesale cost. The CCRT may consider the production of other items utilizing selected designs, but any uses beyond postcards would be at the consent and compensation of the artist.

Selected designs will be announced no later than Oct. 22. For more information, email Annalee Tobey at info@experiencechehalis.com or call 360-345-1738.
