W.F. West Career and Technical Education 2021 Kick-Off Event

The Chehalis School District is hosting the kick-off event for the W.F. West’s fall Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses on Wednesday Sept. 29 in the commons at W.F. West. The event begins with networking and hors d'oeuvres at 6 p.m. followed by a keynote address by Richard DeBolt, executive director of the Lewis County Economic Development Council, at 6:30 p.m. Centralia College’s mobile CTE classroom, which is equipped with virtual reality simulators and hands-on equipment and tools, will be in the W. F. West parking lot for the kick-off event. 

Oakville Buses Resume Normal Schedule 

The Oakville School District’s bus routes are back on their normal schedule as of Monday, Sept. 27. Visit www.oakvilleschools.org/District/Department/29-Transportation for information on the bus routes. 

Tenino School District Mandating Masks at Beaver Stadium Games, Indoor Events 



Tenino School District will require masks for entry to all Beaver Stadium games as well as all indoor events, the district announced Friday. The district stated the decision was made in accordance with the state mask mandates for outdoor events and due to the increasing number of fans at games. 

Mossyrock School District Parent Information Night is Sept. 29

Parents and guardians of Mossyrock students are invited to a Parent Information Night on Wednesday. Elementary teachers will have three 15-minute presentations for attendees to choose from, starting at 6 p.m., 6:20 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. in each K-6 classroom. Parents and guardians for junior high and high school students are asked to start in their child’s advisory class for a 15-20 minute presentation at 6 p.m. Junior high and high school teachers will be available until 7 p.m. for "Open House" style drop-ins. There will be activities in the gym for K-6 students.
