No injuries were reported in a fire that destroyed a house in Napavine early Saturday morning.

Crews were dispatched to a fully involved two-story house fire in the 100 block of Johnson Road just after 2:10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, according to Lewis County Fire District 5.

Lewis County Fire Districts 6 in Chehalis and Adna, 15 in Winlock and 2 in Toledo also responded.

“Unfortunately, the fire was discovered and reported after the home was well involved and is a complete loss,” District 5 stated Saturday.

The cause of the fire was not released Saturday afternoon.

The home belonged to the Larson family, who are the beneficiaries of a fundraiser started by a family friend on Sunday.

“This home has been in their family for over 57 years and holds countless memories from four generations. This has been a devastating year for the family, if you know them,” fundraiser organizer Cassandra Lucore wrote in the fundraiser’s description. “We are thankful and feel blessed that no one was hurt. Material items can be replaced, but memories are forever. We would love to help them out during this stressful time navigating living circumstances and rebuilding their home.”

The fundraiser had garnered $300 of its $10,000 goal as of Monday morning.
