Community members and first responders participated in a push-in ceremony for the new ladder truck 48, a Rosenbauer 109’ Viper, at the Chehalis Fire Department on Friday, Sept. 6.

Chief Adam Fulbright got the city council’s approval to purchase a new 109-foot ladder truck in 2023 using just over $1.5 million of the City of Chehalis’ remaining American Rescue Plan Act funds.

"Words cannot express our gratitude for the overwhelming support you showed at our push-in ceremony," the fire department wrote online after the ceremony. "Seeing so many of you standing with us as we mark this new chapter in the history of the Chehalis Fire Department was truly humbling. You are not just witnesses to this moment — you are now part of it. Together, we move forward, stronger and more united, ready to serve this INCREDIBLE community that we are proud to call home. Thank you for being a part of our journey and our family!"
