On Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, Darold “Darry” Andrew Taylor joined his parents Rose and Aaron, and brother Carl, in heaven for a joyful reunion. Darry was able to remain at home thanks to the exceptional support of Assured Hospice. He was surrounded by his loved ones as he left this earth.
Darry married Diane (Tilley) on July 3, 1962. They celebrated 60 years together and were a wonderful example of love and commitment to all their children and grandchildren. Darry leaves behind his wife Diane; daughters Tina (Robert) Morehouse, Barb (Dennis) Howard and Toni (Bobby) Blair; his brothers Duane (Janet) Taylor and Mickey (Pat) Taylor; and sister Marsha Alden.
Darry had a variety of jobs including smoke jumper, logger and the job he loved most, carpenter. Darry built his family a home on the Chehalis River where he enjoyed gardening. His passions included hunting, fishing, mushroom and cone picking. When not working, he enjoyed spending time with his family. His teasing sense of humor, honesty and kindness will be missed.
Per Darry's request, there will be no services.
