Margaret “Maggie” Alice (McMahon) Davis went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2023, after a series of falls and Alzheimer's dementia. She was born in Yakima, Washington, on June 19, 1931, to Harold Sumner McMahon and Margaret Jane (Wallace) McMahon. She had an older brother, Wallace H. McMahon, who preceded her in death. She grew up in the area that became Lynnwood helping her family run their gas station and convenience store and subsequent “Maggie’s Drive- In” restaurant. She graduated from Edmonds High School in 1949 where she won many athletic awards. She then went to Washington State College (WSC).

At WSC, she met her future husband, Kenneth Richard Davis, and they married on Aug. 11, 1951, in Lynnwood, Washington. That year, she also began her 36-year career with the U.S. Postal Service; her last position was main terminal annex manager, overseeing 95 post offices’ parcel post services in King County.

Upon retiring, Maggie and Ken traveled to Europe, Australia. In a variety of RVs, they traveled through most of the United States and Canada. Subsequently, they settled down in Ken's hometown of Winlock, Washington, where Maggie became an active member and full-time volunteer at the Toledo Senior Center. She is survived by two children, Michael Davis (Carol Solie, spouse) and Marianne (Davis) Smith (Roger Smith, spouse); three grandchildren, Shawn Sorensen, Helen Davis and Jacob Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Alivia and Hendrix Sorensen.

Arrangements are under the care of Cattermole Funeral Home. A memorial service will be announced this summer.
