Letter to the Editor: Do Research Before Drinking Kool-Aid of the Left

Posted

It seems letter writer David Eatwell, of Centralia, has the same affliction as the rest of the liberals in this country. "Don't look at what our administration does, look at what Donald Trump and Republicans are doing."

It seems that double-digit inflation, high murder rates, $5 per gallon gas, rapidly rising crime, horrendous conditions at the border with seemingly unlimited illegal aliens, abortion as birth control, thinking that a heartbeat does not indicate life, and such things as the Afghanistan pullout are just minor annoyances to an otherwise perfect life in this country.

Anyone over the age of 6 can look around and see what the current Democratically-controlled government has done to us. The sad thing is that they continue to support an obviously incompetent president and vice president and attack the previous administration that gave us low unemployment, low cost of living and admiration from the rest of the world all the while keeping the Russians and Chinese at bay.

Not so our current administration.

Even if you ignore all the social good the Republican Party has done in the last 200 years in spite of continued resistance from the Democrats, a thinking, intelligent person cannot vote to continue the Democrats' control of our country. They even lie to divert our attention from the issues that are hurting our country right now; such as Patty Murray claiming that Republicans want to take away the "right" to birth control when, in fact, all the Roe v. Wade overturn did was return the issue to the states where it belongs.

If Mr. Eatwell ever reads the Constitution, he will find a statement in there about those rights not specifically granted to the federal government are reserved for the states. In this state, nothing changed, yet Patty Murray wants you to think that she's the only person who can keep that right with you and the Republicans just took it away from you.

Mr. Eatwell, you should do some research before drinking the Kool-Aid of the left.
