A 38-year-old Lacey man died in a two-vehicle crash near Tenino on Monday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The man, who has not been publicly identified pending notification of his next of kin, was traveling north on state Route 507 near mile marker 16 at about 8:30 a.m. when the crash occurred.

According to the state patrol, his 2008 Honda Accord left its lane to the left and struck a southbound 2002 Chevrolet Suburban driven by a 50-year-old Yelm man.

Both vehicles left the roadway and went down an embankment, with the Lacey man’s car rolling onto its top.

The Lacey man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Yelm man — George Arsu — was not injured. Both were wearing seat belts.

It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, according to the state patrol.
