Morton’s OnStage Youth Theatre Education Program will showcase its summer camp’s theatrical productions of “The Reluctant Dragon” and “Stone in the Road” this week with showtimes on Friday, July 5, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, July 6, at 2 p.m.

According to the Morton Roxy Theater website, OnStage is an affordable and quality youth theater program that offers after-school sessions in spring and fall as well as a two-week summer camp and a winter community production.

All sessions culminate with a final theatrical production.

Their website states, “We are a staff of professional and volunteer acting, dancing, singing, and directing coaches who focus on participants’ success. Youth find an accepting place where they belong. They develop academic, leadership, and team-building skills as they discover their hidden talents.”

The Roxy Theater also hosts local artists in the BCJ gallery, which is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Movies are also shown throughout the week at the Roxy. Popcorn and tickets available for purchase at the theater.

Tickets for the youth OnStage summer production can be purchased at mortonroxy.org/childrens-theater/. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children.

The Roxy Theater is located at 233 Main Ave., Morton.
