With Lewis County’s festival season in full swing, the next upcoming festival is Mossyrock’s annual Blueberry Festival, which will begin on Friday, Aug. 2, and run through Sunday, Aug. 4. Admission to all Blueberry Festival events is free.
The three-day festival will not only feature plenty of blueberries grown by local farmers surrounding Mossyrock, but also a pie eating contest, kids bicycle and wiener dog races, live bands performing throughout the weekend, food and craft vendors, a car show, a parade and more.
Mossyrock’s Blueberry Festival is organized and planned by the Mossyrock Area Action League, a local nonprofit focused on community asset building, economic development and poverty reduction in East Lewis County.

Blueberry Festival events dates and times are listed below:
Friday
• From noon to 5 p.m., historical displays will be open at the Mossyrock Community Center, located at 219 E. State St.
• Starting at 2 p.m., bounce houses and other inflatable games and activities, a mobile fishing pond, food and craft vendors, beer garden and more will open at Klickitat Prairie Park, located just south of downtown Mossyrock off of East State Street.
• At 3 p.m., the beer garden at Klickitat Prairie Park will also open featuring a blueberry beer.
• Starting at 5 p.m., Bairdcreek will begin performing live music at the Mossyrock Amphitheater in Klickitat Prairie Park, followed by a performance by Chris Guenther beginning at 8 p.m. The park will close at midnight.
Saturday
• From 7 to 9 a.m., a blueberry pancake breakfast will be available at the Mossyrock Assembly of God Church, located at 101 Mossyrock Ave.
• From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., classic and custom cars will be on display for the Mossyrock Road Rebels Car Show at Mossyrock High School, located at 295 Williams St.
• At 9:15 a.m., kids bicycle races will be held in downtown Mossyrock, followed by the Blueberry Festival parade beginning at 10 a.m. heading down East State Street.
• Starting at 10 a.m., the Mossyrock Blueberry Festival Parade will roll through town.
• Starting at 11 a.m., bounce houses and other inflatable games and activities, a mobile fishing pond, food and craft vendors and more will once again open at Klickitat Prairie Park. Shoelaces the Clown will also be at the park.
• From 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., members of the Washington Civil War Association will hold the “Battle of Klickitat Creek” reenactment, with a second mock battle being held again from 3 to 4 p.m. at Klickitat Prairie Park. The reenactors’ camps will be available to tour throughout the day, with living history demonstrations scheduled too.
• At 12:30 p.m., Tim Weible will jump and skydive down into Klickitat Prairie Park.
• Beginning at 2 p.m., a dog show will be held at Klickitat Prairie Park followed by wiener dog races.
• Starting at 4 p.m., those looking to stuff their faces full of blueberries can do so when the pie eating contest commences at Klickitat Prairie Park, followed by the Blueberry Bakeoff judging at 4:30 p.m.
• Starting at 5 p.m., Brian Green will begin performing live music at the Mossyrock Amphitheater in Klickitat Prairie Park, followed by a performance by Outta Control beginning at 8 p.m. The park will close at midnight.
Sunday
• Starting at 11 a.m., bounce houses and other inflatable games and activities, a mobile fishing pond, food and craft vendors, beer garden and more will once again open at Klickitat Prairie Park. Shoelaces the Clown will also be at the park.
• From 11 a.m. to noon, members of the Washington Civil War Association will hold the “Battle of Klickitat Creek” reenactment, with a second mock battle being held again from 2 to 3 p.m. at Klickitat Prairie Park.
