The licensed sale of fireworks for the upcoming Fourth of July holiday within Centralia will start July 1 with discharge allowed July 4, said City of Centralia staff in a recent news release.
Permitted sales are allowed between the hours of noon and 11 p.m. July 1 through July 4. Vendors must obtain a license from the city prior to engaging in retail sale within city limits. The annual license costs $100, according to city municipal code.
Discharge is allowed noon to midnight the day of July 4.
Violation of the city’s fireworks code is a misdemeanor offense and carries a $500 fine for each violation.
