A driver allegedly under the influence of intoxicants slammed into two parked police SUVs in North Portland early Sunday, injuring the two officers inside the cars, police said.

Police arrested 47-year-old driver Charlotte L. West on suspicion of DUII, reckless driving, reckless endangerment and two counts of assault, court records show.

The police SUVs were parked on North Greeley Avenue just south of Dekum Street when West is accused of striking them around 12:19 a.m. Their lights were not on, police said, and they were about to drive away after responding to a call in the area. Online maps show Greeley Avenue south of Dekum Street is a no-parking zone.

One officer experienced a concussion and the other injured a shoulder, police said.

West was not injured, police said. She was booked at the Multnomah County Detention Center and released. Reached by phone, she did not offer an immediate comment.
