Local fire crews responded to a barn fire off of Rush Road near Napavine on Sunday and were still on the scene extinguishing hot spots and conducting cleanup Monday afternoon.
As of 3:15 p.m. on Aug. 1, Lewis County Fire District 5 of Napavine had responded alongside crews from Fire District 6 of Chehalis, District 15 of Winlock, District 2 of Toledo and District 8 of Salkum.
The barn was reportedly being used to store hay when the fire started. No injuries have been reported.
A section of Rush Road was closed for several hours on Sunday while fire crews worked to control the blaze.
