Sirens: Arrest for Wielding Gun; Catalytic Converter Thief Caught in Act; Burglary Arrest

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Assault

• A fourth-degree assault reported in the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street just after 11 a.m. on Sept. 15 is under investigation.

• A subject was arrested at the intersection of Northwest Prindle Street and Northwest Pacific Avenue at approximately 5:40 p.m. on Sept. 16 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for first-degree assault after he allegedly pulled a gun on another subject who was reportedly throwing rocks at him.

 

Hit-and-Run

• Just after 11:35 a.m. on Sept. 15, a caller reported a hit-and-run that occurred in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard Monday evening.

 

Malicious Mischief

• A case of malicious mischief reported in the 200 block of Southwest 13th Street just before 4:10 p.m. on Sept. 15 is under investigation.

• A subject was arrested in the 1500 block of North National Avenue at 11:45 p.m. on Sept. 16 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged second-degree malicious mischief.

 

Theft

• A subject was cited for shoplifting in the 1000 block of Northwest Maryland Avenue just after 4:40 p.m. on Sept. 15.

• A subject was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged identity theft and shoplifting in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 5:50 p.m. on Sept. 15.

• A theft reported in the 1500 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue at 11:55 a.m. on Sept. 16 is under investigation.

• A subject was arrested in the 800 block of Southwest William Avenue just after 3:50 p.m. on Sept. 16 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree burglary after they allegedly tried to steal items out of a garage. 

• A loaded firearm and cash were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1700 block of North National Avenue at approximately 6:05 p.m. on Sept. 16.

 

Criminal Trespass

• A subject was arrested in the 900 block of Northwest Airport Road at 6:45 a.m. on Sept. 16 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged criminal trespass.

• A disorderly subject was trespassed from a business in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 4:50 p.m. on Sept. 16.

 

Crashes

• A non-injury collision in the 600 block of North National Avenue just before 9:55 a.m. on Sept. 16 is under investigation.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1900 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Sept. 16.



 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft and Burglary

• A generator was reported stolen from the 1100 block of South Scheuber Road just before 9:25 a.m. on Sept. 15.

• A subject was arrested in the 1300 block of Harrison Avenue just before 1:20 p.m. on Sept. 15 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for vehicle prowl and theft after he allegedly took items from a vehicle.

• Just after 4 p.m. on Sept. 16, there was a report of an unknown subject cutting through a fence in the 1500 block of Kresky Avenue. It is unknown whether items were stolen.

• A subject was cited for second-degree burglary at approximately 11:35 p.m. on Sept. 16 after he was caught behind a fenced area at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Courtland Street in the process of removing a catalytic converter from a vehicle.

• A break-in at a residence in the 900 block of Ham Hill Road was reported just before 6:15 a.m. on Sept. 17. Tools were reported stolen.

 

Crashes

• Minor injuries were reported after a two-vehicle collision reported in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue just before 9:40 a.m. on Sept. 15.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Johnson Road and Reynolds Avenue just after 1:20 p.m. on Sept. 16.

 

Assault

• A subject was cited for allegedly assaulting a police officer in the 1500 block of Cooks Hill Road just after 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 15.

 

Hit-and-Run

• Just before 6:25 a.m. on Sept. 16, there was a report of an unknown vehicle striking a fence and freshly poured concrete in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue before fleeing the scene.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL  STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 128 inmates, including 118 in the general population and 10 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 100 were reported male and 18 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
