Crash

• A two-vehicle collision was reported at Reynolds Avenue and North Pearl Street at about 4:25 p.m. on Sept. 10.

 

Reckless Burning

• Russell E. Charnell III, 38, of Centralia, was arrested for allegedly starting a fire near a building in the 100 block of North Buckner Street in Centralia just before 11:10 p.m. on Sept. 10.

 

DUI

• Samuel A. Isguerra, 22, of Centralia, was arrested for DUI after being involved in a collision at West Main Street and North Washington Avenue just before 2 a.m. on Sept. 11.

 

Warrant Arrests

• Joseph E. Leyva, 39, of Tumwater, was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 100 block of West Maple Street just before 11 a.m. on Sept. 10.

• Kevin A.J. Frady, 22, of Olympia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail just after 1:10 p.m. on Sept. 11 on an outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrant.

• Jesus A. Gomez, 23, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail just before 6 p.m. on Sept. 11 in the 1200 block of Belmont Avenue on a felony Department of Corrections warrant and a Centralia Municipal Court warrant.

 

Assaults

• A large fight was reported in the 1300 block of Harrison Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 11. Several people received minor injuries and one person sustained an apparent broken limb. The incident is under investigation.

• Joshua J. Thoveson, 27, of Puyallup, was referred for third-degree assault charges after reportedly assaulting a staff member at a medical facility in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road just after 1 a.m. on Sept. 12.

 

Thefts

• A trailer ball hitch was reported stolen by an unknown suspect in the 2200 block of Earl Street at about 7:45 a.m. on Sept. 10.

• Celso K. Tolentino, 37, of Rochester, was arrested for allegedly shoplifting and resisting arrest in the 600 block of Harrison Avenue just after 7:45 a.m. on Sept. 10.

• A 2000 Saturn was reported stolen at 8:50 a.m. on Sept. 10 in the 2800 block of Russell Road.

• A blue 1999 Yamaha YZF motorcycle was reported stolen at 9:45 a.m. on Sept. 10 in the 100 block of West Maple Street.

• An unknown suspect stole merchandise from a store in the 600 block of Harrison Avenue just after 5:50 p.m. on Sept. 10.

• Alega T. Faamuli, 19, of Centralia, was arrested for stealing alcohol from a store in the 600 block of North Tower Avenue just after 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 10.

• A vehicle that was left running and unlocked at the curb was reported stolen in the 900 block of G Street at about 7:25 a.m. on Sept. 11.

• A bicycle was reported stolen at the intersection of North Railroad Avenue and East Maple Street at around 11:45 a.m. on Sept. 11.

• Jendayi C. Thomas, 29, of Portland, Oregon, was arrested for shoplifting at a local business in the 1400 block of Lum Road at about 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 12.

• A bottle of alcohol was stolen from a business in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue just before 9 p.m. on Sept. 12.

 

Obstructing a Public Servant

• A juvenile female from California was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Juvenile facility at about 2 p.m. on Sept. 12 for obstructing a public servant in the 200 block of North Railroad Avenue.

 

Burglaries

• A burglary of a shed in the 1500 block of Lum Road was reported at around 10:25 a.m. on Sept. 11. The incident is under investigation.

• A burglary of a garage that occurred sometime in the past couple of weeks in the 400 block of West Cherry Street was reported just before 5:05 p.m. on Sept. 12.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 300 block of West Summa Street just before 7:10 p.m. on Sept. 12. Gabriela K. Gomez, 29, of Centralia, was issued a citation for hit-and-run after her vehicle collided with a wood fence and she was seen fleeing the area.

 

Vehicle Prowls

• Property was reported stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in the 2800 block of Russell Road at 9:50 a.m. on Sept. 11.

• Property was reported stolen just before 6 a.m. on Sept. 13 from a vehicle in the 900 block of North Tower Avenue.

Suspicious Circumstances



• Two younger males were reportedly shooting “confetti things” at people and cars as they drove in the 1200 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 9:35 a.m. on Sept. 10.

• A Nissan Frontier pickup truck that had been sitting in the 1500 block of North National Avenue for about three hours was reported at about 2:15 p.m. on Sept. 10.

• A caller reported a homeless man was laying down outside of a door in the 800 block of Northwest Alta Way at about 6:40 p.m. on Sept. 10. The reporting party did not feel safe leaving with the man there.

• A caller reported there were people in the 2500 block of North National Avenue who appeared to be camping behind their house just before 9:20 p.m. on Sept. 10.

• A person advised officers that her boyfriend said someone was kicking his door in the 1300 block of Northwest Airport Road at about 11:20 p.m. on Sept. 10.

• A person reported screaming from a residence in the 100 block of Southeast 11th Street at about 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 11.

• A person who was “rock hounding” found a broken cellphone and an open pepper spray container down by the river in the 1500 block of Rice Road at 6:50 p.m. on Sept. 11.

• Twelve kids reportedly jumped over the fence at the old Cascade Elementary School in the 10 block of Southwest Third Street just before 8:20 p.m. on Sept. 11.

• Suspicious circumstances were reported in the 500 block of Southwest William Avenue at about 8:35 p.m. on Sept. 11. No other information was listed.

• A person told employees at the Holiday Inn in the 700 block of Northwest Liberty Place that two men were under their shuttle van and it smelled like something was burning at about 5:55 a.m. on Sept. 12. Officers were going to check to see if a catalytic converter was taken.

• A man called to say he was accused of making an obscene gesture toward someone he knew and wanted to “clear his name.” The report made around 8:05 a.m. on Sept. 12 in the 10 block of Southeast Fairview Avenue stated the person who the gesture was directed at threatened the reporting party’s life because of the incident.

• A concerned person called just before 11 a.m. on Sept. 12 to report a man in an RV in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue might be “transporting” people in his vehicle. The person stated the man parks in the parking lot quite often and has binoculars with him.

• A possible overdose was reported in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 1 p.m. on Sept. 12. The person in the vehicle was reportedly passed out, but breathing, with tin foil on his lap.

• A person was reported walking around buildings in the 1500 block of Northwest National Avenue just before 9 p.m. on Sept. 12.

• Two to three men were reported walking around vehicles in a parking lot in the 1500 block of North National Avenue at 6:05 p.m. on Sept. 12. The men were reportedly “coming in and out of the brush.”

 

Disturbance

• At about 10:15 a.m. on Sept. 11, a person reported a possible verbal dispute in the 700 block of Northwest Folsom Street. A man was reportedly screaming at a woman.

 

Theft

• A caller reported that gas and a facility key was stolen from a lockbox in the 1200 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 10:55 a.m. on Sept. 11.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• A vehicle prowl was reported just before 1:40 p.m. on Sept. 11 in the 800 block of Northwest Maryland Avenue.

 

Harassment

• A person called to report a neighbor who had just moved in was recording her with security cameras in the 600 block of Southeast Dobson Court just before 1:55 p.m. on Sept. 11. Then at 4:20 p.m., dispatch received another call that the neighbor had walked into the reporting party’s apartment with no notice and without an invitation. The person was reportedly opening the doors to bedrooms after being asked to leave multiple times.

• A person reported a staff member in the 200 block of South Market Boulevard was harassing them just after 4:20 p.m. on Sept. 11.

• Harassment was reported in the 300 block of North Market Boulevard just before 4:20 p.m. on Sept. 12. No other information was listed.

• Harassment was reported in the 800 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue around 11:50 p.m. on Sept. 12. No other information was listed.

 

Malicious Mischief

• A window was reported broken in the 400 block of Northwest Prindle Street at 12:35 a.m. on Sept. 12.

• A report of someone getting their car dented several times while parked at a business in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue was reported at around 2:35 p.m. on Sept. 12.

 

DUI

• A DUI was reported at Northwest Cascade Avenue and West Main Street just after 12:50 a.m. on Sept. 12. No other information was listed.

 

Accident

• A minor vehicle accident was reported in the 1500 block of North National Avenue just after 5 p.m. on Sept. 12. The reporting party said she “bumped into” the person in front of her because her son threw a nerf ball to the front of her vehicle.

 

Child Molestation

• “Child molesting” was reported in the 1100 block of Southeast Washington Avenue at 9:20 p.m. on Sept. 12. No other information was listed.
