Sirens: Man Threatens to Kill People With a Crossbow; Recovered Vehicle; Robbery Arrest

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Malicious Mischief

• Broken windows were reported in the 1000 block of Kresky Avenue at 9 a.m. on June 18.

• Broken car windows were reported in the 1400 block of Lewis Street at 5:10 p.m. on June 18.

• Damage to a door frame in the 500 block of Hillkress Street was reported just before 11:10 a.m. on June 19.

• Nickolas G. Kelley, 28, of Pe Ell, was arrested in the 200 block of North Pearl Street at approximately 2:40 p.m. on June 19 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail on a Walla Walla County arrest warrant and for alleged second-degree malicious mischief.

• Natasha A. Ruble, 36, of Centralia, was arrested in the 600 block of Jefferson Street at 2:30 a.m. on June 21 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged third-degree malicious mischief and fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

 

DUI

• Mark G. Russell, 42, of Chehalis, was arrested in the 1400 block of North Pearl Street just before midnight on June 18 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence.

• Jarrin A.M. Smalley, 28, of Centralia, was arrested in the 400 block of South Berry Street at approximately 4:20 p.m. on June 20 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence and for escaping community custody.

 

Theft

• Money was reported stolen in the 1100 block of South Scheuber Road at approximately 11:10 a.m. on June 19.

• A laptop was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2000 block of Borst Street at 4:50 p.m. on June 19.

• Miscellaneous tools were reported stolen from the 500 block of West Main Street at approximately 5:05 p.m. on June 20.

• A vehicle was damaged and miscellaneous items were reported stolen following a vehicle prowl in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 5:10 p.m. on June 20.

 

Robbery

• Jose G. Rodas-Lainez, 46, of Centralia, was arrested in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue just before 11:55 p.m. on June 19 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged second-degree robbery. Additional third-degree theft, interfering with the reporting of domestic violence and fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, charges were referred to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office.

 

Recovered Vehicle

• A stolen vehicle was recovered in the 1400 block of Johnson Road just before 12:55 p.m. on June 19.

 

Hit-and-Run



• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1100 block of Scammon Road just after 9:40 p.m. on June 9.

 

Crashes

• Minor injuries were reported after a vehicle vs. motorcycle accident at the intersection of North Pearl and West Center Streets just before 7:25 p.m. on June 20.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision at the intersection of North King and West Main streets was reported at approximately 9:45 p.m. on June 20.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Assault

• A fourth-degree assault was reported in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street at 4:55 p.m. on June 18 after a subject reportedly sprayed pepper-spray into a pregnant woman’s face. No arrests were made.

• Christopher D. McLeod, 32, Silver Creek, was arrested in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 10:20 p.m. on June 19 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged first-degree assault and first-degree kidnapping, domestic violence, after he reportedly threatened “to kill people with a crossbow” and shot a victim's car window, shattering it.

 

Under Investigation

• Suspicious circumstances reported in the 200 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just before 8:25 a.m. on June 19 are under investigation.

• Information reported in the 1100 block of South Scheuber Road at approximately 11:10 a.m. on June 19 is under investigation.

• Counterfeiting reported in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 3:10 p.m. on June 19 is under investigation.

• A report of criminal trespassing in the 1500 block of North National Avenue at approximately 6:45 p.m. on June 20 is under investigation.

 

Crash

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 600 block of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way was reported just after 1:35 p.m. on June 20.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 149 inmates, including 136 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 114 were reported male and 22 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
