Though Aberdeen took home the win for both the boys and girls, area squads had a good showing at a 1B/2B/2A meet in Adna Friday evening on a drizzly day.

The Pirates were the top scoring team on both the boys and girls sides locally, with the boys finishing second and the girls finishing third.

Winners for the Pirates included Trenton Carper in the high jump for the boys (5 feet, 8 inches), Megan Price in the 200 meters for the girls (29.82), and Lillian Boyd in the discus (98 feet, 2 inches).

The Pirate girls also won a pair of relays, with the 4x200-meter relay winning in 2:00.81 (Sophie Hagseth, Lydia Tobin, Price, and Reagan Naillon), and the 4x400-meter relay winning in 4:55.92 (Megan Stout, Karissa Larson, Price, and Naillon).

Winlock was led by its lone winner in Payton Sickles, who won the 200 in 24.14, and Centralia earned a trio of winners in Devin Harrison, who took both the 1600 (4:46.84) and 3200 (10:32.19) and Alayna Mcgregor in the javelin (87 feet, 5 inches).
