Vancouver police say a man "loosely" grabbed a 13-year-old girl and tried to pull her into some bushes with him while she walked to school Tuesday morning in the North Image neighborhood.

Police responded at 9:28 a.m. to Covington Middle School, where the student reported the incident that occurred earlier in the morning. She said she was walking in the area of Northeast 49th Street and 112th Avenue when an unknown man emerged from some bushes and tried to talk to her. She was able to get away from him and kept walking toward school, according to Vancouver police.

The man was last seen near Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard and Gher Road.

Police described him as a Hispanic man, between 20 and 30 years old, with buzz cut black hair, a thin build and tattoos on both arms. He is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and was wearing a black tank top and tan work boots.
