The Black Hills boys basketball team’s win streak now sits at six, as the Wolves topped Aberdeen 60-50 on Thursday.

The Wolves (9-6, 5-2 2A EvCo) took control early, taking a 15-8 lead, but the Bobcats stayed within striking distance and trailed by seven at the break.

In the third quarter, Black Hills built up its lead, outscoring Aberdeen 16-7 to take a 16-point lead into the fourth. The Bobcats played their best in the fourth, but the Wolves had enough of a cushion to ride out the win.

Simon Nysted led the Wolves with 24 points, while Talon Morrill scored 12, and Jack Ellison and Quinton Morrill added eight each. Manny Garcia led the Bobcats with 24 points of his own.

The Wolves will have a bit of a break before they take the court again, as they’ll host Shelton on Thursday.
