130032 Fee Increases NOTICE OF FEE INCREASES FOR THE LEWIS COUNTY SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT NO. 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the LEWIS COUNTY, Washington, Solid Waste Disposal District No. 1 will, on July 01, 2024, increase the following fees: tipping fee for Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), $120/ton with a minimum of $20/340lbs (to include 3.6% refuse tax), tipping fee for Bulky Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), $140/ton with a minimum of $35/500lbs (to include 3.6% refuse tax), yard waste (grass, leaves and tree limbs) $100/ton with a minimum of $15/300lbs. These rates will be rounded using standard rounding rules. Also, tires (passenger/light truck) will be $10 each with or without the rims and refrigerated appliances/AC units will be $30 each. The fee increases will take place at the two sites operated by Lewis County: the Lewis County Central Transfer Station in Centralia and the East Lewis County Transfer Station in Morton. A public hearing was held on March 25, 2024. Notice of the public hearing was published in the East County Journal on March 6, 2024, and March 13, 2024; and in the Chronicle on March 5, 2024, and March 12, 2024.
