Spirit of Halloweentown, a festival that runs the length of the month of October in St. Helens, Oregon, began the night of Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016. The festival is a celebration of a 1998 Disney Channel film called "Halloweentown" that was filmed in St. Helens. It features a giant, lit-up jack-o-lantern in the middle of the town square that is similar to one that appeared in the movie.
