Tenino lost its eighth-straight game this season in a straight-set loss (25-12, 25-2, 25-8) to Elma at home on Tuesday.

The Beavers (0-8, 0-8 league) have just two games remaining to notch their first win of the season. Brooke Bratton led the way for Tenino, going 9-for-9 from the service line, while Austin Joohnson dug eight balls and Aurora Loya had a team-high nine digs.

“Both Austin and Aurora played well from the back row,” Tenino coach Wanda Blanksma said. “Despite the scores, the girls had one of their better nights in serve receive. I’m proud of the progress we’ve made, we just couldn’t finish and put anything away.”

Tenino host Montesano in a non-league game one Wednesday, then finishes out the regular season at home against Elma on Thursday for senior night.
