Tenino couldn’t keep with Elma in a 1A Evergreen Conference matchup, getting swept 25-7, 25-10 and 12-12 on the road Tuesday.
Beavers’ coach Wanda Blanksma commended Bailey Green and Aurora Loya for their serving performances, as well as Malika Slassi, who played well at the net.
“As the night went on, it got better,” Blanksma said. “The kids had some moments but we were having trouble stringing those moments together.”
Tenino hosts league foe Elma at 7 p.m. Thursday.
