1B Boys Hoops: Acorns Drop Loggers

Freshman point guard Eddie Klatush exploded for a triple double and Oakville chopped the Wishkah Valley Loggers, 80-24, in a road match Saturday night in 1B Coastal League action.

Klatush was effective in all areas of the game, nearly outsourcing Wishkah by himself with a game-high 23 points to go with 11 rebounds, 11 assists and eight steals.

I thought Eddie was dialed in tonight, on both offense and defense,” Oakville coach Kyle Burkhardt said. “Not only was he scoring tonight, but he also did a great job getting his teammates involved and scoring as well.”

Klatush had plenty of help as three other teammates also scored in double figures.

Tyson Wilson added 15 points and five boards, freshman center Courtney Price chipped in 14 points, nine rebounds, five assists and blocked two shots and sophomore guard Haezen Cayenne contributed 13 points, five boards and three assists.

Great team win tonight and everybody played well,” Burkhardt said.

Oakville (4-2, 4-1 league) travels to North River in another league match on Thursday.
