Kiason Mendez-Martinez from Oakview Elementary School and the Centralia Sons of the American Legion will be giving out 200 free backpacks with summertime activities at noon on June 14.
The giveaway will be held at George Washington Park outside the Centralia Timberland Library. Anyone 12 and younger can get a backpack. Children must be present to receive one.
“We only have 200 bags to give away, so first-come, first-served,” organizers stated.
The giveaway is not affiliated with the Centralia School District.
