A Pe Ell man has been charged for allegedly raping a 16-year-old four times within the last three months.

Jordan D. Coleman, 39, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail at 1:20 p.m. on March 14 after the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office received results from a sexual assault kit completed at Providence Centralia Hospital.

Hospital staff reported that the victim came in within 36 hours of an assault, which allegedly occurred on March 11, and the victim has since confirmed three prior sexual assault incidents that allegedly occurred in January.

Each incident allegedly involved Coleman forcibly restraining the victim, according to the affidavit.

Coleman is facing four counts of second-degree rape, a Class A felony with a maximum sentence of life imprisonment and up to $50,000 in fines, and one count of unlawful imprisonment.

Calling the charges and the events described in the affidavit “gravely concerning,” Judge Joely A. O’Rourke agreed with a deputy prosecutor’s request to set Coleman’s bail at $250,000 cash or bond and to approve a no-contact order for the alleged victim.

Coleman’s next court appearance is an arraignment hearing scheduled for March 25.
