For the second-straight match, Rochester lost by one stroke, this time to Montesano, 283-284, on the road in a non-league season finale. Montesano’s Nate Johnson was match medalist with a 48.
Rowdy Edminster led the Warriors with a 52, Brady Moen and Ethan Eyre both shot a 54, while Luke Barth shot a 58 and Hayden Williams a 66.
“We moved quite a few guys around,” Rochester coach Eric Homkvist said. “Got some seniors out there playing.”
The Warriors, along with Centralia and W.F. West will now prepare for district, which takes place at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at Mint Valley Golf Course in Longview.
Warriors heading to districts are Edminster, Moen, Barth, Xavier Mendes, Hyde Parrish and Gabe Steward.
