Adna improved its passing, found its hitters and hammered visiting Stevenson in straight sets (25-7, 25-19, 25-10) on Tuesday in 2BCL action.

“The girls played much better,” Adna coach Wendie Dotson said. “They served aggressively.”

The Pirates were 70 of 73 serving, led by Brooklyn Loose’s four aces. Kendall Humphries tallied a team-high seven kills and Madison Fay added five for the Pirates.

“We played good defensively,” Dotson said. “Everyone played their part.”

Dotson praised Humphries for her net play and blocks, and the team as a whole for finding outside hitter Fay for spikes.

“Our goal was more consistent passing,” Dotson said. “Madison is an excellent hitter and we wanted to take advantage of that.”

Adna (4-2, 2-0) travels to Rainier on Thursday.
