The Oakville boys basketball team held a first half lead, thanks to 12 early points from Courtney Price, but faltered in the second half and fell in its first game of the 1B District IV tournament to Naselle, 64-58, Thursday night.

The Acorns got a game-high 30 points from Eddie Klatush, who drilled five 3-pointers and went 7 for 9 from the charity stripe, but had a hard time finding scoring production elsewhere, with just three other players scoring. Price finished with 14 points and Ashton Boyd had 10.

The Comets were led by three double figure scorers, including a team-high 23 points from Kolton Lindstrom.

The loss means the Acorns will take on Mossyrock in a winner-to-regionals, loser-out district third place game at Montesano on Saturday.
