Playing in the friendly confines of its home gym, the Oakville boys basketball team scored the first 23 points of the game and never looked back in a 96-10 win over league opponent Wishkah Valley Tuesday night.

It was the Acorns'  1B Coastal League  opener and they put on a firework show offensively.

Three Acorns more than doubled the scoring output of the entire Logger team, with Eddie Klatush (26 points), Courtney Price (26 points), and Ashton Boyd (23 points) all scoring in double figures.

Klatush added seven assists, five rebounds and five steals. Boyd pulled down eight rebounds and  tallied five steals and six assists.  Price hauled in 10 boards to go with four steals and three blocks.

Also scoring for the Acorns was Koner Burnett, who was 3 for 3 shooting with eight points. Haezen Cayenne was 3 for 6 shooting with six points, four steals and five assists.

The Acorns (6-5, 1-0 1BCL) will play next at home against North River on Monday.
