Three Oakville seniors were celebrated on senior night but the Acorns weren’t able to beat visiting Mary M. Knight, falling in straight sets (25-14, 25-8, 25-18) on Thursday.
Seniors McKayla Roberts, Taehler Tobey-Vaughn and Marissa Kohl played their final home match for the Acorns.
Sophomore Alyssa Forsyth led the charge with 11 serves with five aces, while Morgan Kimbrel added nine serves and three aces. Marissa Kohl, Forsythe, Roberts and Bella Couillard combined for 34 serve receives. Kohl, Forsythe, and Couillard each recorded 3 kills.
“All the girls have grown,” Oakville coach Shawna Howe said. “They fought and worked hard.
Oakville heads to Lake Quinault on Tuesday.
