Oakville fell behind early and couldn’t muster a comeback against Willapa Valley in a 68-57 defeat in the title game of the Jack Q. Pearson Holiday Classic at Willapa Valley High School on Thursday.
Eddie Klatush led the charge for the Acorns with team-highs of 26 points and eight assists to go with four blocks. Courtney Price added 16 points, six rebounds and six blocks, while Ashton Boyd tallied eight points, a team-high 10 rebounds and three assists.
Hazen Cayenne contributed five points, two assists and two boards, while Quinton Roberts chipped in three points, five boards and a block for the Acorns as well.
Oakville drops top 5-5 overall and hosts 1B Coastal League rival Taholah on Jan. 4.
