Adna Boys Golf Captures First District Title in Program History

Adna boys placed four golfers in the top 12, led by freshman phenom Braeden Salme’s individual district title, to help the Pirates capture their first district championship in school history on Wednesday at Mint Valley Golf Course in Longview.

Salme shot a two-round total of 86 (45 and 41) to claim the individual district title. Aaron Aselton placed fourth with a score of 93 (47 and 46), Andrew Grim was sixth with a score of 95 (44 and 51) and Chris McGuire was 12th at 103 (55 and 48). 



Also scoring points and helping the Pirates to victory were Chase Collins Seth Meister, who each shot a two-round total of 108 to tie for 14th. The top 15 places scored points.

The Pirates won with 49.5 total points, while Wahkiakum was second with 36, Kalama was third (17), North Beach was fourth (9.5), Toutle Lake was fifth (8), Winlock was sixth (6) and Columbia Adventist was seventh (5).
