The Adna baseball team needed just six innings to sweep a doubleheader against Winlock on Monday, coming away with a 25-0 and a 17-2 win in three innings each.
A dozen different Pirates recorded a hit in the first win, and fifteen different Pirates drove in at least one run. Owen Fagernes drove in three runs, and eight others drove in at least two.
Beau Miller, Jack Pennington, and Talan Guerrero each pitched a no-hit inning, combining for six strikeouts.
Carter Svenson gave the Cardinals an offensive boost in game two, driving in a run and hitting two doubles.
Adna didn’t score in the first inning and trailed going into the second in Game 2, but a 10-run second and seven-run third pushed the game into run-rule territory.
Eleven different Pirates recorded a hit, and ten drove in at least one run. Four — Roundtree, Cameron Nakano, Luke Mohney, and Preston Trodahl — drove in two each.
Both teams will hit the road on Wednesday, when Adna (7-0, 7-0 C2BL) will head to Mossyrock and Winlock (0-9, 0-8 C2BL) will visit White Pass to take on Morton-White Pass.
