Playing on some tough course conditions at Skyline Golf Course in Cathlamet, the Adna girls golf team fell to Wahkiakum Wednesday afternoon in a tight match, 229-238.

Wahkiakum’s Avrey Wilte-Hiatt took home match medalist honors, beating out second-place Parker Feist of Adna by eight strokes shooting a 46.

Feist carded a 54 to lead Adna, with Natalie Humphrey (59), Miriam Wilson (62), and Jaylee Humphrey (63) not far behind.

“We battled with the course today, it wasn’t easy to score,” Adna coach Cody Ray said. “The girls learned how to play some golf on different terrain.”
