Centralia-based law firm Althauser Rayan Abbarno has announced the arrival of new associate attorney.

Henry Coates joined the firm, which was formerly Olson Althauser Samuelson & Rayan, earlier this year while waiting for the results of the Washington State Bar Examination. Coates passed the bar examination and will be sworn-in on Friday in Lewis County Superior Court, according to a news release from the firm.

Coates  earned his Juris Doctor in 2021 from the University of San Diego School of Law and was an active member of the Business Law Society. Prior to graduating law school, Henry attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. He is a Thurston County native.

“Henry will focus on general civil litigation, business law and family law,” according to the release. “Henry joins Althauser Rayan Abbarno partners Todd Rayan, Peter Abbarno and Jake McGhie, along with associate attorneys Kathryn Eyraud, Samuel Wilkens and Derek Scott by representing individuals and businesses in our community through both their Centralia and Olympia offices.”

Althauser Rayan Abbarno invites the community to meet Coates at the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours holiday event the law firm is hosting from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Masonic Building, second floor, 114 West Magnolia St. in Centralia.
