Lewis County Hospital District No. 1, which does business as Arbor Health in East Lewis County, announced officers and committee representatives in a news release this week.
The district operates Morton Hospital, Morton Clinic, Mossyrock Clinic, Randle Clinic, Packwood Clinic and the Rapid Care Clinic. As a public entity, the hospital district is governed by a board of elected commissioners. Each year, the board selects a board chair and board secretary as well as assigning commissioner representatives to oversight committees.
The board made the following appointments at a Jan. 31 regular meeting:
• Board chair — Tom Herrin
• Board secretary — Craig Coppock
• Finance Committee — Wes McMahan, Van Anderson
• Quality Improvement — Craig Coppock, Van Anderson
• Governance — Tom Herrin, Craig Coppock
• Plant Planning — Wes McMahan, Chris Schumaker
• Compliance Committee — Craig Coppock, Chris Schumaker
• Arbor Health Foundation — Tom Herrin
• State Legislature Representative — Wes McMahan
• Strategic Planning — all five commissioners
The Hospital Board of Commissioners meets on the last Wednesday of each month at 3:30 p.m. The meetings are hybrid, held both in the Morton Hospital conference room and online. More information on the commissioners and the leadership team can be found online at MyArborHealth.org/commissioners.
