Arvid Wilder

Posted

Arvid lost his 10 year battle with heart disease on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Providence Centralia Hospital.

Arvid was born in Milford, Iowa to Emery Syndergaard and Mary Ann Dale. He moved to Washington in the third grade and to Chehalis, Wash., in the ninth grade. He graduated WF West in 1965 and went on to enjoy his lifelong passion of playing the guitar and singing. During the next 15 years he always had a band, ‘Arvid Wilder and the Travelers’ and made music every weekend. We always said he knew at least 500 songs because as long as it was vintage country or rock, he could sing it.

Arvid took a weekend off in 1971 and married Cheri Lininger and they have been each other’s cheerleader for these last 49 years. Arvid owned and operated Arvid’s Interiors in Chehalis, but retired 10 years ago and for those 10 years has played his guitar and sang for friends and enjoyed coffee with hos cronies at Sweet Inspirations.

Arvid was preceded in death by his parents. Arvid is survived by his wife, Cheri; his daughter, Erika Wilder; granddaughter, Alyssa Johnson; and grandson, Kameron Witt; his sister, Mary Lynn Dawes of Mission Viejo, Calif.; brother, Duane Christiensen of Tenino, Wash., and many nieces and nephews.

We will miss him.

He could always make us laugh. We will take these memories with us and always keep him near.

There will be a get together at a future date.
