Bearcats Tie With Storm

The W.F. West boys soccer team’s trip to Vancouver didn’t yield a goal but did yield a result, as the Bearcats took a 0-0 tie against 4A Skyview.

“The guys came out after a tough loss last night and played really well together against a really good team,” WFW coach Allen Anderson said. “Defensively we played really hard and stayed organized, which made a big difference.”

Anderson credited Cameron Hinkley for leading things in the midfield, while Hayden Sciera made all the saves needed of him to keep the game even.

W.F. West is slated to return to 2A EvCo play next Tuesday, wrapping up its regular season at home against Rochester. A win will give the Bearcats second place in the league, and give them home-field advantage in the first round of the District 4 tournament.
