Bearcats win tight Swamp Cup showdown on games

The W.F. West boys tennis team’s day at Centralia on Friday was too close for even one tiebreaker to decide, but the Bearcats came away with a win on games won, after the two sides tied matches 3-3 and tied sets 7-7.

“It was a very tight match all the way around,” WFW coach Jack State said.

First singles: Jacoby Corwin (CEN) def. Javyn Han (WFW) 6-3, 6-2

Second singles: Justin Chung (WFW) def. Jonah Lowe (CEN) 6-0, 6-0



Third singles: Will Cummings (WFW) def. Pablo Dominguez (CEN) 6-2, 6-2

First doubles: Connor O’Dell/Kadin Yeung (CEN) def. Christian Patana/Gabe Priest (WFW) 6-3, 2-6, 6-3

Second doubles: Jordan Yeung/Justin Kuykendall (CEN) def. Braden Newman/Jaxon Velazquez (WFW) 6-4, 6-1

Third doubles: Sawyer Cothren/Tyler Smith (WFW) def/ John Kuykendall/Kycen Donahue (CEN) 5-7, 6-3, 6-4
