Beaver Boys Take Second at 1A Evergreen League Championships

Led by sophomore Carson Hart’s runner-up finish, Tenino boys placed second as a team at the 1A Evergreen League cross country championships at Oaksridge Golf Course in Elma on Thursday.

Hart ran a 17:15, behind conference champion Aric Jacklin (16:48). Tenino freshman Tristan Von Bargen placed seventh (18:59) Damon Anderson was 16th (20:13) and Tanis Von Bargen was 17th (20:14). 

Also placing for the Beavers was Cash Gallaher in 18th (20:15), Blaine Scott was 19th (20:21), Larry Whitney was 21st (20:36), Jayden Merritt (20:39) Peter Hilton was 23rd (20:43), Braxton Williams was 30th (23:23), Carson Schall was 33rd (23:53) and James Carle was 38th (24:13).



On the girls side, freshman Brynn Williams was the top Tenino finisher, placing seventh in a time of 24:43. Senior Claire Scibelli placed 10th in a time of 26:17. Scibelli has now placed 10th at the league championships four years in a row.

Next up is the 1A District 4 Cross Country Championships on Oct. 28 at the Lewis River Golf Course in Woodland.
