Playing on the road in Montesano, the Tenino softball team lost its 16th straight game and is still winless in conference, getting swept by the Bulldogs, 6-0 and 11-1.
The Beavers were no-hit in the first game, and though Emily Baxter struck out 11, she had four earned runs on seven hits, with two runs unearned.
In the second game, the Beavers didn’t fare much better, getting one run on the board in the fifth inning thanks to Baxter’s RBI, but falling 11-1. Tenino had 11 errors in the second loss, with Baxter only getting tagged for three of those runs with nine strikeouts on five hits.
The Beavers take on Montesano on Friday looking to avoid the sweep at home.
